The TOP 5 Reasons why MARV hits the gym!

1. I’m still wired like a caveman. If I ever need to flee from multiple attackers, capture large prey to feed my family for the winter, climb to higher ground during a flash flood……I will survive.

2. It’s therapy. Managing 120 clients a week can really scramble the brain.  Training helps me block out the noise.

3. Quality of life. I want to be able to tie my own shoe laces, put my own baggage into the overhead compartment of an airplane, and still be able to “get it on”…when I’m 90 years old.

4. Something to do. It’s a constructive way to pass then time when I’m bored.

5. Girls.

All jokes aside, it is VITALLY important to know why you work out.  ALL human beings are reward driven, so if you have no idea why you’re doing what you’re doing, your motivation will last about (5) secs.  It’s also really important that you establish a priority sequence, as this will help you to invest your resources in the most sensible way. (ie. doing the things that make you the happiest, FIRST.)  I’ve been training consistently since I was 12 years old - that’s 22 years!  As you can imagine, my goals and priorities have shifted around quite a bit since then, yet I remain very motivated to train.  I’ve found that by giving myself a “REWARD CHECK” 3-4 times a year, I’m able to stay focused on achieving the things I really want.  If YOU haven’t done this in a while, I highly recommend doing so.

So - why do YOU hit the gym??  Hit me up with your TOP 5.
